I initially joined Virgin HealthMiles because of the rewards I could get just by walking. However, after logging on to the website and downloading my steps I found that with just my day to day activities I was able to lose a few pounds and work towards my goal of getting to the next level. I started a challenge with a fellow employee and we have been helping each other reach our health and weight goals. Setting challenges helps me maintain my activity goals and motivates me to do more.
I started my HealthMiles at a size 18, I am now in a size 14! My goal is to be a 10 by the end of my first year. Changing my eating habits and making sure I get more activities in every day has helped me to see that even though it took me a long time to put the weight on, with small changes I can take the weight off! I don't have to starve myself or go to extreme measures, I just need to make small changes day-by-day to achieve my personal goals and stay fit and healthy.
